Since Spore was released over the weekend, one can only imagine the number of creations that have come into existence. A quick summery of the game for those of you that have never even heard of the game (Which means you have never been a part of the internet and video games in your life).  You begin life as a small organism after a meteor crash lands on a planet. There you start your life growing and evolving to where you make it to the surface of the planet. Always growing, always evolving as you make your way into a tribal, civilization and the icing of the game, space exploration.

One of the bigger draws to the game is the fact that you can customize every aspect of your creature and civilization (Buildings, vehicles, and space shuttle) and give it your own color schemes.

After playing for only a few hours, maybe 3-4? I was able to achieve space exploration, and then I took a break. Depending on how you act through the game, effects how your species evolves. If you kill other creatures, ally, use money, eat meat, eat fruit. All of those factor in to your next stage of evolution and your special abilities.

Rating wise, I would give the game a nice solid 7. It’s fun, it’s addicting, definitely a nice turn on the whole sim game evolution (no pun intended), but as a friend mentioned, we could easily see this game becoming the next Sim, with a variety of expansions and add-ons. Now if this is good for bad for the game, it’s hard to judge right now, but I know a lot of people I know lost interest in the sims once they began doing this strategy.

So good luck to you and your new species if you try this game, and maybe one day you will abduct my creatures. So please be nice to them!
