This is the third podcast session for our Shadowrun campaign (I know the first two haven’t been posted on the actual blog, but we started playing before the site was back up. You can still find the sessions here). Now for a quick rundown of everything. Our campaign session takes place in Indianapolis, IN during 2072. It has been modified to fit the gritty world that has become the world of Shadowrunners and Big Corporations. The beginning of the story our players all know each other and have worked with each other for some time now. Group consists of a Face, Mage and Covert Operative. Our initial hook into our current runs have been slowly building to a bigger picture as everything begins to point to a religion that has been popping up recently.
Andrew – Story Teller
Josh – Player name: Friedrich Astor | Metatype: Human | Role: Face with an interest in spy drones | Friedrich is a native German that stands out in a crowd. With his purple suit, purple shoes, cane, bright red hair and well-groomed mustache that ends in a curl, you probably wouldn’t forget an encounter with him. Friedrich is our go to guy when it comes to setting up runs, getting the best deals on fenced items or just outright need to talk our way out of a bad situation.
Chris – Player name: Tsevrah | Metatype: Elf | Role: Mage | Tsevrah is our trickster mage. While we can count on him for anything magical, be it information or just support during a mission, he is always ready to help out the group. However, Tsevvah has a trickster mentor spirit which sometimes gets the better of him and leads him into dangerous situations as he plays his pranks on unwilling participates.
Aaron – Player name: “Lucky” | Metatype: Dwarf | Role: Covert Operative & Hacker | Lucky likes to stay in the shadows and attempts to get things done without much notice. He tries his best to have all the right “toys” for every mission and has taken an interest into hacking. He’s clearly not the best hacker in the world, but he hasn’t been caught. Yet.
In this session, the group finds themselves presented with a mission that will take them down around the Amazons in search for a rare radical ingredient from one of Tsevvah’s contacts, Dr. Zombie. The group struggles in the beginning as they work out plans to get down to their destination without costing half of their pay they will make from the mission. They run into a few close calls but somehow with some quick thinking (and some not quick thinking) they manage to slip past securities.
There are a few slow moments when we had to look up a ruling, we had another one wrong and double checked it and a few moments when we had to really think about our current situation. Hope you enjoy it and if you have any comments, please leave them below.
